Easy-to-Crochet Cute Clothes for Kids by Sue Whiting

Crochet is a traditional needlecraft that has truly stood the test of time - in recent years a whole new generation of young people have taken up this wonderfully versatile craft. Crochet is quick, easy to learn, and can produce a whole range of different effects, from chunky textured fabric to delicate lacy patterns. This makes it perfect for creating children's clothes. Making use of the wide selection of yarns available, from pure cotton pastels to soft and colourful wools, the 25 patterns are really simple and include sweaters and tops, ballet-style cardigans, hats, mitts and scarves. Each project has clear instructions, full information on yarns, stitches and techniques and beautiful photographs of the finished garment. In addition, a chapter at the beginning of the book covers basic information and essential techniques.
Sue Whiting is a needlecraft design consultant and author who works with a number of textile companies to produce brochures, booklets and promotional materials. Her clients include Jaeger and Rowan Handknitting. She trained at the London School of Fashion and has worked with numerous magazines and publishers on all aspects of needlework. She has written several needlework books, including Take up Crochet. She lives in Shipley, West Yorkshire.
