Ian Thompson was born in Liverpool, England, but grew up in a tiny town in Cheshire for the majority of his childhood. He went into textiles for a career that included laboratory testing and quality control. Give him some carpet, garment, or curtain fibers, as well as a microscope and some chemicals, and he'll tell you everything you need to know! He enjoys fast-paced adventures with strong and interesting characters, gritty action, and unexpected twists. Getting whisked away into someone else's imagination has always appealed to him, inspiring him to construct his own places.
PARADISE EXHUMED, his debut novel, was published in February 2015 and is a violent whodunit thriller set in modern-day Britain about a pair of investigative reporters on the hunt for a ruthless and seemingly relentless killer.
