Clive Bell is an economics professor at Heidelberg University. After receiving his D.Phil., he went on to pursue a career in academia. He has worked at the World Bank (1974-85), Johns Hopkins University (1985-6), Vanderbilt University (1986-95), and Regensburg University (191991-4) since graduating from the University of Sussex in 1976.
