Edward IV by Charles Ross

This study places the reign of Edward IV in the context of late-medieval power politics, and analyzes the methods by which a usurper sought to retain his throne and re-assert the power of a monarchy weakened by the feeble rule of Henry VI.

Charles Ross is a professor of English at Purdue University and the director of the Department in Comparative Literature. He is also a lawyer and a member of the Indiana Bar. He is the author of The Castle Custom from Malory to Macbeth (University of California Press, 1997) and the translator of Orlando Innamorato by Boiardo and Thebaid by Statius.
