Edwards - One-Nil is the no frills and honest account of his life by Keith Edwards, a prolific goalscorer with Sheffield United, Hull City, Leeds, Aberdeen, Huddersfield and Plymouth Argyle.
Keith Edwards was born in Stockton, one of four brothers with a long suffering mother and a sports loving father who was unstinting in his advice and support of his youngest child. His protege initially looked to have missed out as he began work as a van lad but Sheffield United, then in the top flight, spotted his pace and raw ability and gave a chance to a player who went on to become a hero with both the Blades and Hull City. He was an instinctive goalscorer and one who delivered continually throughout his subsequent career, specialising in darting into space and finishing with a coolness that marked him out as special. He still lives and works in Sheffield and is heard regularly on BBC Radio Sheffield for whom he summarises on his old team.
