She's also written a novel and two travel books. In 1989, Zoltán Dörnyei got his PhD in psycholinguistics from Budapest's Eötvös University, after which he worked for ten years as a teacher trainer and applied linguist, with responsibilities including Director of Studies for the PhD program in Language Pedagogy. He relocated to the United Kingdom in 1998 and is now Professor of Psycholinguistics at the University of Nottingham's School of English Studies. He is the author of several books and has written over 60 scholarly papers on various topics of second language acquisition and language teaching practice.
