Ella's Umbrellas by Ashley Spires
Ella loves umbrellas, but she has far too many of them. She has an umbrella of every shape, size and colour imaginable - spotted, striped, aquamarine and even jellybean green! They fill up her entire house. Now that Aunt Stella from Kathmandu is coming to visit, Ella's mum demands that she gets rid of her beloved umbrellas. Ella can't imagine just giving away her precious possessions. Surely her mum can't be serious? But Ella is about to find out that opening one's heart during a downpour can be more important - and more gratifying - than opening an umbrella.Jennifer Lloyd is the author of Ella's Umbrellas, One Winter Night and Looking for Loons. When she is not at her writing desk, she works as a kindergarten teacher in Blainville, Quebec. Her students provide her with a wealth of ideas, as do her own two children. Jennifer loves teaching beginning writing to her students, many learning in a second language. She also gives workshops in classrooms around the Laurentians and Montreal. Jennifer lives in Blainville, Quebec.
