Each project featured is both creative and contemporary, often inspired by nature and organic forms with stylized flowers, spirals, and abstract imagery. Appliques are an integral part of each accessory project and all projects feature complete instructions for making the accessory and the applique. Finished projects include bags, mini-bags, belts, journals and other personal fashion items.
Patricia Converse is an artist, crafter, quilter, designer, teacher, and author. She has contributed projects to Stitch & Sizzle Accessories and When Quilt Designers Think Small, and is the author of the 2005 book Learn to Quilt with Leather (House of White Birches) and three quilt booklets Inspired by Nature, Inspired by the Seasons, and Quilts Inspired by Beautiful Bloom all published by Leisure Arts. Pat is a fashion designer, sewing teacher, and fabric retailer. She lives in Bridgton, Maine.
