Donald Edward Davis, Ph.D., is a North Georgia native who holds master's degrees in both Social Ecology and Psychology. He is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Dalton State College and the author of several works on environmental history. Davis blends a great interest in the region's history with pictures culled from the Georgia Department of Archives and History as well as a range of public and private collections in The Land of Ridge and Valley.
