English for Maturity by David Holbrook

Originally published in 1967, this second edition of David Holbrook's powerful plea for a fresh approach to English in secondary schools redesigned the text and brought it up to date. Holbrook's work was rooted in the British educational system, but attracted wide interest throughout the world.
