Enormouse by Angie Morgan

Enormouse is bigger than all the other mice in the mousehole – and he looks different too. He is teased by the other mice, even though he takes care of them, and when the mice find a picture of a rat they all decide that Enormouse is actually a rat. Poor Enormouse leaves the mousehole and goes to join the rats. But what he discovers is that looks aren’ t everything. The rats are dirty and untidy, and he is not at all like them. Now he realises where his true home lies… Meanwhile the mice have also realised their mistake. They miss Enormouse and set out on a dark and dangerous journey to find their friend and bring him home.

‘Aside from the attractive illustrations, is a great story about integration in society and a celebration of difference€ ¦ Well done Angie Morgan – a great story with a fantastic message’

"This is the cutest book!...It’s a book that’s well done. It’s fun to read or have it read to you, and it’s fun to look at because the pictures have been drawn with an adult eye, including lots of details that will make caregivers smile even if the little ones don’t notice all the subtleties"

"This is a charming and reassuring story about friendship; about being true to yourself  and finding out where you truly belong - even if you look a bit different."
