When the National Museum of Scotland has its gemstones stolen while on tour through the highlands and islands, D.I. Clarissa Urquhart faces the first test for her new section. He's progressed to answering the phone for folks in distress before dialing other numbers to help them. He has lived in most parts of the United Kingdom, but now resides on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, where he divides his time between raising a young family with his wife, writing, learning to weave, and caring for a small flock of hens.
