It showcases the best of the furniture, jewellery, silver and textiles from different continents, and puts these in the context of the architecture and interiors of the time.
Karen Livingstone is Curator of the exhibition International Arts and Crafts, and a Research Fellow at the V&A. She is editor with Linda Parry of International Arts and Crafts (2005) and has contributed to several publications, inlcuding Design and the Decorative Arts: Britain 1500-1900 (2001) and the Persistence of Craft (2002).
