FATHER CHRISTMAS AND THE DONKEY by Elizabeth Clark
It's Christmas Eve and a lonely old donkey limps through the frozen grass, searching for food. Suddenly he hears the sound of galloping hooves: could it be Father Christmas' reindeer? When the donkey meets Father Christmas, he receives a present he could never have hoped for: a loving family that will give him a home.
Elizabeth Clark was born in 1875, and rose by her own efforts to become a much loved storyteller and author. Her pioneering determination meant she was able to create for herself a life in storytelling, often to large gatherings. For decades her collections of stories sold in large numbers in the UK and overseas. Her beautiful prose and ability to tell a story in carefully unfolding steps, makes them perfect for young children. Many of her books were illustrated by the brilliant Nina Brisley. Ari Jokinen is an illustrator and graphic designer from Finland. He teaches graphic design at the Finnish Vocational College, and this is his fourth book.
