Fishing Skills by Tony Whieldon
From course fishing to wreck fishing and from carp to conger, the New Complete Guide to Fishing Skills is crammed full of practical information on all things fishing. Sections on coarse, trout and sea fishing (both from the shore and by boat) explain the tackle, rigs and baits you will need, as well as describing specific techniques such as legering, fly fishing or trolling. From pike to shark there is also information on the fish themselves and the best methods to use in pursuit of each species. Tony Whieldon s uniquely clear and detailed drawings are combined with explanatory captions that ensure quick and easy access to a wealth of information, whether read at home or at the water's edge.
Tony Whieldon has been fishing since boyhood. He grew up in an area of trout streams and country estate lakes, so it is hardly surprising that he was bitten by the fishing bug so early. His favourite pursuits include fly fishing for trout, float fishing for roach and tench and trying to outwit grey mullet. Over the years, he has produced a wealth of illustrations for fishing magazines and books as well as privately commissioned paintings.
