Claire Huchet Bishop was a children's novelist and librarian who lived from 1899 until 1993. With Pancakes-Paris and All Alone, she received the Newbery Honor, as well as the Josette Frank Prize for Twenty and Ten. The Lewis Carroll Shelf Prize was given to The Five Chinese Brothers in 1959.
