Flower Fairies Journal by Cicely Mary Barker

The year is 1920, and Cicely Mary Barker is staying at West Sussex. Over the months as she sketches and writes in the gardens and grounds, she starts to suspect the presence of fairies in the flowers around her. Although a fictional account, this book uses her sketches, artwork and samples from her poems, and contains many design elements.
Cicely Mary Barker was born in Croydon, South London in 1895 and died in 1973. She found international acclaim as an artist with her delightful Flower Fairies books the first of which, Flower Fairies of the Spring, was printed in 1923.
