Ellen Oh is the cofounder and president of We Need Diverse Books (WNDB), as well as the author of the YA fantasy trilogy The Prophecy series and the upcoming middle-grade novel The Spirit Hunters. Publishers Weekly named her one of the Remarkable Persons of 2014. At one of her first book festivals, Ellen met Walter Dean Myers and his son Christopher Myers. Her mouth dropped open as she saw the couple towering over the crowd, which had already made her nervous. Chris and Walter took pity on an awestruck Ellen and introduced themselves, and they couldn't have been nicer, taking her under their wings and treating her like an old friend.
Oh, her husband, and their three children, live in Bethesda, Maryland. Visit ellenoh.com to learn more.
