For You by Frank Jones
For you... is a collection of 170 poems, mini poems, and micro stories that I have written over the course of fifty-plus years.
Within these pages you will find pieces covering many aspects of life, from the joy of love to the pain of loss, from friendship to loneliness. Some of the writing may provoke a laugh, some of it produce a tear. Some of it is serious, some of it plain silly but none of it is pretentious.
Frank Jones, a journalist with The Winnipeg Tribune, The Toronto Telegram, and The Toronto Star, was born in England and moved to Canada in 1959. Jones was the Ottawa bureau chief, foreign correspondent, and writer for The Star for nearly thirty years, winning a National Newspaper Award for his coverage of the 1973 Middle East War. Trail of Blood, Master and Maid, White Collar Killers, Hired to Kill, Murderous Innocents, The Save Your Heart Wine Book, and Head Start, co-authored with Gordon Pape, are among his works. Jones also provided several radio scripts to the CBC's Scales of Justice series, which is hosted by renowned lawyer Edward L. Kennedy. Greenspan is a well-known economist.
