Federiga Bindi holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Political Integration at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where she is the founding director of the Jean Monnet European Center of Excellence. She is also a senior fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University SAIS and is the author of Italy and the European Union (Brookings). Irina Angelescu is a research fellow with the European Center of Excellence of the University of Rome Tor Vergata and a consultant for the Brookings Institution's Center on the United States and Europe. Bindi and Angelescu are coeditors of The Frontiers of Europe: A Transatlantic Problem? (Brookings, 2011).
