Deborah Ferneyhough-Sweet was born in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England on December 26th 1958 to Donald and Barbara Sweet. Her father was a member of the well respected firm B Sweet & Sons Undertakers. Deborah is married to Charles Ferneyhough, and they have three-grown up children. A keen canoeist and woodland walker, she has been visiting the Forest of Dean since she was 16 years old. Photography, writing, and poetry relating to the place she loves the most, the Forest of Dean, are her passions. The need to always be here, and the passion that never leaves my heart. To get in my canoe, and feel its river. To walk through its forest, to breathe and feel its existence, To grow with it, when I am dust.
