Melanie Hooyenga began writing as a teenager and finds that she still connects best with that demographic. She has lived in Washington, DC, Chicago, and Mexico, but she and her husband, Jeremy, have finally settled down in their home state of Michigan. Melanie may be found attempting to wrangle her Miniature Schnauzer Owen and playing every sport imaginable with Jeremy when she is not at her day job as a Communications Director.
