When Stella goes with her mother to collect a video she does so knowing that danger lurks in dark corners! But her mother doesn't believe her or at least not until she is eaten by the video shop monster. So off Stella goes, chasing after the monster, to get her mother back. Which she does, as well as finally despatching the monster far from the video shop. This is a wonderful modern cautionary tale reminding parents that sometimes their children know more than they think.
Herbie Brennan lives in County Carlow, Ireland. He is the author of several books for children including our own ZARTOG'S REMOTE, FAIRY NUFF and NUFF SAID. With this wonderfully entertaining text he has proven himself to be a brilliant author of picture books for young readers. Cathy Gale lives in London and this is her second book for Bloomsbury.
