Kristine spent ten years as a professor of German in colleges in the United States and Europe as an experienced linguist. Kristine is a world traveler who has visited over 100 countries, from Bhutan to Zimbabwe, and nearly every exotic location in between. She is familiar with the issues that all tourists face, regardless of the country they are visiting.

She has firsthand experience with how languages may open doors to new experiences, new friends, and new cultures. Kristine's interest in languages began when she was a child growing up in a trilingual family in Oregon, where Croatian, Danish, and English were spoken. Kristine is a trained diver, a licensed pilot, and a downhill skier. She enjoys playing the piano and competitive horseback riding.

She lives in Seattle, Washington, as well as Cape Town, South Africa.
