Derek is also recognized with conducting the first Twitter quiz in 2010. Derek O'Brien is a member of the Rajya Sabha from West Bengal who has served twice. He is the All India Trinamool Congress's parliamentary party leader in the Rajya Sabha, as well as the party's national spokesperson.
He has given talks at Harvard, Yale, and Columbia universities in the United States, as well as various IIMs, IITs, and other prestigious Indian educational institutions.
