George Eastman by Elizabeth Brayer
This biography of Gearge Eastman shows how, despite the fact that he tended to keep out of the limelight, he had an aggressive business personality. It also reveals that Eastman was an art lover and an avid music listener - even building a school for the training of virtuosos. In the 1920s Eastman designed a special camera for use in othodontia and established elaborate dental clinics for poor children in Rochester, London, Paris, Brussels, Stockholm and Rome. The text also records how he oversaw the building of the Eastman Theatre and School of Music, and contributed financially to a new campus for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a medical school for the University of Rochester.| SKU | Unavailable |
