Gertrude Bell by Rosemary O'brien

The Englishwoman Gertrude Bell lived an extraordinary life. She rode with bandits, braved desert shamals and was captured by Bedouins. This volume of three of her notebooks preserves Bell's elegant, vibrant prose and presents Bell as a brilliant tactician fearlessly confronting her vulnerabilities.
Rosemary O'Brien is the author of two novels, FIRST SATURDAY and SCRAPS, as well as dozens of articles and web pages. She began viewing this as a series of guides during her work with the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans' Families (EBV-F) of which she is a 2013 graduate from Florida State University. A former actress, instructor of various writing courses and sometime children's theater director, O'Brien holds a degree in creative writing and lives with her family in Connecticut.
