Ghostman by Roger Hobbs
This is the winner of the CWA's Ian Fleming Steel Dagger for best thriller of the year 2013. "Fast, hard and knowing: this is an amazing debut full of intrigue, tradecraft and suspense. Read it immediately!" (Lee Child). I make things disappear. It's what I do. This time I'm tidying up the loose ends after a casino heist gone bad. The loose ends being a million cash. But I only have 48 hours, and there's a guy out there who wants my head in a bag. He'll have to find me first. They don't call me the Ghostman for nothing...
"Quite astonishing.. Mature, impeccably researched and written with supreme panache, it moves like a black mamba and is every bit as deadly. Fierce, taut and with an intensity that burns the lungs, I doubt whether there will be a debut thriller to match it this year, or even next" DAILY MAIL "Startling and sparkling assurance ... A star is born? Quite possibly" SUNDAY TIMES "Full of authentic detail, seedy locations and a high corpse count, it keeps you hooked until the very last page" SUNDAY TELEGRAPH "Brilliantly clever, gripping and action-packed. Utterly original and bound to become a big-budget movie." SUNDAY MIRROR "Fast, hard and knowing: this is an amazing debut full of intrigue, tradecraft and suspense. Read it immediately!" -- LEE CHILD
