Global Politics by Aggie Hirst

Global Politics: Myths and Mysteries is an innovative introduction to key concepts in international relations, exposing the myths of the discipline, and making critical thinking engaging and relatable for students.
A genuinely innovative approach to the subject matter and a welcome additional to teaching options* Dr Adam Bower, Lecturer in International Relations, University of St Andrews *
This book raises the bar for introductory textbooks in Global Politics and IR. It is an innovative, erudite but student-centred introduction to the field, which covers an impressive range of material, including concepts of power, violence, state, empire, law, money and capitalism. The authors contributions are accessible and, along with a range of reflective exercises and further resources, enable students think critically about their own views and the myths that they are taught. It will be a hugely important resource for teachers as well as for students. * Professor Kimberly Hutchings, Professor of Politics and IR, Queen Mary University London, UK *
