Jim Meads is the world's foremost hunting photographer and in his new and final book his brilliant photographs capture hunts in the UK, Ireland, Canada and America. Sections in the book include: nostalgia, characters, heroes, hunt staff and specific types of jump. His photographs capture the atmosphere and camaraderie of hunting, its characters, its hounds, the frightening fences and above all its tradition.
Jim Meads started by working with his father, a Country Life staff photographer. Now, forty-two years later, there are only a few packs of hounds in the UK he hasn't hunted with - many of his pictures appearing with Foxford in Horse and Hound over the years.
