It was Adolphus Goss who first had the idea of applying coats of arms to pieces of porcelain produced by his father's pottery and from 1880 until after the First World War the demand for such holiday souvenirs fuelled an enormous industry. Lynda Pine runs The Goss and Crested China Club. She spent seven years researching the Goss family which resulted in the biography of William Henry Goss. Lynda also updates and provides the values for the price guides for Milestone Publications and for over thirty years has published the montly catalogue of 'Goss and Crested China'.
