The Gothic Tarot Compendium by Joseph Iorillo

This comprehensive resource is an essential key to understanding The Gothic Tarot cards, and offers Vargo's personal insights concerning the mythological and occult symbolism hidden within his artwork. The book features illustrations of all 78 cards of the Major and Minor Arcana, translations of their symbolic meanings, explanations of their personal significance, and detailed instructions for several traditional and original card layouts that reinforce the gothic theme of the artwork.

Joseph Iorillo is a Cleveland Heights, Ohio-based freelance writer. He graduated from John Carroll University with a summa cum laude in English and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He has written the foreword and comments for Born of the Night: The Gothic Fantasy Artwork of Joseph Vargo, as well as contributing short stories to the book Tales From the Dark Tower. He also co-wrote The Gothic Tarot Compendium, a companion book to the best-selling tarot card. Iorillo has been a feature writer for Dark Realms Magazine for the past eight years, producing several pieces on topics as varied as secret organizations, ancient Sumeria, horror films, haunted houses, and afterlife theories.

He has always been fascinated by the world's esoteric riddles as well as all things otherworldly. Visit www.JosephIorillo.com for additional details.
