Grandmothers by Nell Dunn
Nell Dunn interviewed ten grandmothers, all from different social backgrounds, and talked to them about what it feels like to be a grandmother and what it felt like to be a grandchild. The interviewees range from Ursula, who lives in a country house, to Joy, who lives on a council estate.
NELL DUNN has written several novels including Up The Junction and Poor Cow (filmed by Ken Loach). She has also written many plays, the best known of which, Steaming, won the Olivier Award for Best Comedy and was made into a film by Joseph Losey starring Vanessa Redgrave and Diana Dors. She lives in London.
