Dr. Valerie K. Brown, teaches Church Administration and Finance at the Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia. She holds a doctorate degree in management from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Brown is a certified CPA and has worked with the accounting Firm Arthur Anderson in Washington, DC. She was president and founder of Valerie K. Brown, CPA PC for over 15 years, with a client base primarily of churches and clergy, assisting them in training their leadership on roles and responsibilities, and setting up financial accounting systems. Currently, Dr. Brown serves as executive pastor of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she lives with her husband, senior pastor K im Walkter Brown, author of Marriage Talk.
