The text tells of shadowy figures, balls of lights and the terror of two young daughters, one of whom watched the blankets from her bed being pulled off and neatly folded by ghostly hands.Elaine Mercado is a trained nurse, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and entrepreneur. She is the mother of two daughters. She is a licensed practical nurse and a registered nurse. Mercado has been a medical-surgical registered nurse and a registered nurse in the Coney Island hospital emergency room in Brooklyn, New York, for over nine years. Mercado became interested in the psychological elements of patient care while working as an emergency room nurse, and she began researching the mind, body, and spirit relationship. Mercado began to focus on paranormal phenomena about the same period.
She has studied and attended several talks and workshops on various forms of hauntings and the current ideas behind them for over fifteen years. Locally published author Mercado has also contributed to The Brooklyn Baron and The Nursing Spectrum. She is an American Heart Association Certified CPR Teacher and runs a company called Learning For Life with her second husband, where she teaches CPR to hospital and hotel employees. Mercado and her family still reside in Gravesend.
