Gregorian Chant by Daniel Saulnier

Gregorian Chant offers a detailed tutorial in the history and liturgy of Gregorian chant for musicians and musicologists, clergy and liturgists, passionate participants, and others who are interested in the revival of chant in the church, today.

Father Daniel Saulnier is a priest at the Abbey of Saint Peter of Solesmes in France. He holds a doctorate in musicology and is Professor of Gregorian Chant at Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome.

Mary Berry (1917-2008), translator, was one of the leading advocates for the revival of Gregorian chant in the last quarter century. A musicologist and noted choral conductor, she founded the Schola Gregoriana of Cambridge, and was honored as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2002 for her contributions to chant and religion.
