Gumdrops Merry Christmas by Val Biro
Mr Oldcastle is doing his last-minute Christmas shopping when Gumdrop's starter breaks down. Their neighbour, Mr Bumblebee, is playing Father Christmas at the children's party in the village hall, but later, when they all meet again, he seems to have acquired some magical qualities.
