Tessa Lorant began her career as a computer programmer before marrying an author who inspired her to pursue her passion for writing. She began by writing about her passion for knitting, releasing thirteen books on the subject and patenting two knitting aids. Richard Rutt's seminal A HISTORY OF HAND KNITTING features her. Tessa Lorant Warburg wrote A VOICE AT TWILIGHT, at her husband's request, after he died of cancer. This film examines what it's like to live - and die - with the Big C.
This earned Tessa the Oddfellows Social Concern Book Award, which she received at the House of Commons. Because family members kept telling her how much the book sounded like her spouse, she decided to try her hand at fiction writing. Tessa has six thriller novels and a trilogy to her credit. She's working on a detective series called PROOF POSITIVE, as well as a book about wildflowers and more Victorian knitting patterns adapted for the twenty-first century.
