Headhunters by Claire Peate
Edgar Thompson is also having a hard time proving himself in his new job as press officer for the Museum of London. One of the biggest archaeological finds in British history is currently being exposed beneath King's Cross's busiest platforms. His job is to keep it quiet, which isn't an easy job when the biggest find of all - another renowned ancient's skull - disappears overnight. Where are the heads going? Will he - with the help of some unlikely friends - manage to reunite them with their owners before their own careers do a similar disappearing act?
Claire Peate was born in Derby and lives in Cardiff with her husband and two children. She studied English Language & Linguistics at Sheffield University, and now works as an associate director in the market research industry. She has been a speaker at several festivals, including the Guardian Hay Festival.
