James, Robert Rhodes: - Robert Rhodes James (1933-99) was educated in India, at Sedbergh School, and at Worcester College before embarking on a career as a writer and clerk in the House of Commons. In 1964 he received the Award of the Royal Society of Literature and was subsequently made a Fellow of the Royal Society.
