The Hero's Tomb by Conrad Mason
Joseph Grubb has come to the great city of Azurmouth in search of his father. But in Azurmouth nothing is as it seems, and a terrifying ancient power is about to be unleashed . . . If Joseph is to learn the truth about his father, he must face his deepest fears, and a final reckoning, at the Hero's Tomb.
Mason's writing is lively and engaging, and his message of tolerance is a potent one * Philip Womack, Literary Review on Demon's Watch *
Conrad Mason was born in 1984 and grew up in Oxford. He studied Classics at Cambridge before moving to London where he got a job writing non-fiction books about everything from polar bears to post-war Britain. He now works as an editor of children's fiction as well as the author of The Girl in Wooden Armour, a gripping middle-grade fantasy novel, and The Tales of Fayt, a riproaring fantasy adventure series featuring piratical goblins, invisible warships and a mermaid in a wheelbarrow.
