Heroines of World War II by Eric Taylor
The story of World War II is the story of ordinary men and women performing extraordinary feats. Women played a part in the Allied conflict as spies, as ATS soldiers, as WAAFs and Wrens, but their contribution has not been fully recognized. Here the author explores the heroism of women at war.Eric C. Taylor was a student at Texas Tech University until he was drafted into the United States Marine Corps Reserve. After returning to civilian life after two years, he worked in the electric generation operations of a steam power plant. He learned about an intriguing outlaw legend while working in a Wyoming power plant. He put the idea away in the back of his mind at the moment, intending to expand it into a full-length story later. He finally brought the story to life as The Castle Rock Legend many years later. Eric now lives in Levelland, Texas, with his wife Nancy, where he was born and raised.
