Home Made Vintage by Christina Strutt
Offering an alternative approach, this book shows you how you can create beautifully crafted, home-sewn projects. This book shows you how to decorate every room in your house, from the kitchen to the bedroom, to the garden room, using old fabrics found in flea markets, or reusing a dress or curtain fabric - too worn for its original purpose.
Married with two children, Christina Strutt worked as a stylist for UK Vogue for many years before embarking on a freelance career, working for Victoria and other glossy magazines. She lives near Bath in England, and runs CABBAGES & ROSES, a fabric company which specializes in historic rural-printed fabrics for fashion, accessories and interiors. Stocked in California, Dallas, Sag Harbor and Illinois, Cabbages & Roses now has two outlets in London, and the products are available worldwide through the Internet. Christina has many US and Japanese customers, in particular. Her first book, Vintage Chic (2003), was sold in the UK, USA, Canada and Germany. Vintage Crafts (2003) has been sold in the UK, USA, Canada, France and Sweden.
