About the author: Bob Jackson was born in 1939 in Southern New Jersey. Raised on a small poultry farm Bob became an entrepreneur at the early age of eight and he has had private business involvement ever since. He has a BS in Metallurgical Engineering (Lehigh 1961), A MS in Industrial Management (RPI 1968) and is registered professional engineer. Bob is an innovative (12 patents) and broadly diversified businessman both domestically and internationally. He is experienced in building naval and commercial nuclear reactors, general manufacturing, international trade, the freight railroad industry and many other fields. Bob has been an active civic leader for years with activities such as CETA, JTPA, PIC, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Kiwanis, and the Boy Scouts of America and more. Bob is an eagle scout and has held many leadership posts. From 1985 to 1993 Bob designed and implemented an enterprise zone for the city of Benton Harbor, Mi which elevated the city from severe distress to one of the fastest growing cities in the US. Bob now lives in Texarkana, TX, is married to his lovely wife, Barbara, and has three successful sons and two granddaughters. He is CEO of Jackson International, inc. with manufacturing plants in Constantine, MI and Texarkana, AR.
