This study of the equine body is concerned with the skeletal structure, joints, tendons, muscles and ligaments of the horse, together with conformation and its effect on soundness and action. Structures, functions and disorders of the nervous, sensory, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory and urinary systems are explained, together with the cause, treatment and prevention of various diseases.
Julie Brega's interest in eventing led her to work with competition horses and, having gained her BHSII, she set up her own equestrian business and trained many students for BHS examinations.
