The Horse's Mouth by Simon Annand

A real delight for puppetry students and theatre practitioners. Generously llustrated with the work of award-winning photographer Simon Annand.
“This story – the story of making the first show – is our record of how uncertain, optimistic, idealistic and naïve we felt back thenIt’s the spark underneath each new version and each fresh company who bring the fuel and the heat to inspire every production of War Horse.” — Mervyn Millar “An excellent publication… At all times, Millar’s writing is clear, pacy and illuminating and the illustrations – which include four pages of color photographs – are fabulous. Don’t bother to see the film version: spend your money on this lovely book.” — Aleks Sierz “A story of how an astonishing piece of theatre came about” – The Stage
