Joe McNally writes part-time and has published numerous articles on racing. He has lived in Kidderminster, Worcester, since 1989, with his wife and children, and worked in a marketing role for Aintree racecourse. A former champion jockey, Richard Pitman rode the winners of over 470 races over the jumps including the Champion Hurdle, Hennessy Gold Cup, Mackeson Gold Cup, and the King George VI Chase Twice.He is a broadcaster for the BBC as he has been for the past twenty years. He also owns and breeds horses in his small stud in Oxfordshire.
