Reilly, Matthew: - Matthew Reilly was born in Sydney in 1974 and studied Law at the University of New South Wales. After being rejected by every major publisher in Australia, Matthew self-published his first novel Contest and went on to secure a contract with Pan Macmillan. His first novel, Ice Station, was a runaway success. His achievements in Australia have now been repeated internationally with his novels becoming bestsellers in fourteen countries and nine languages. Film rights to Ice Station were optioned to Paramount Pictures in 2002. He has written both screenplays and magazine articles and has also directed three short films.
