Idiot's Guides: Drawing Manga is for anyone who has no previous drawing experience, or who is new to drawing in the Manga style. The overall approach is focused on simplifying the drawing process by breaking down lessons into more steps and mini lessons that are easier to learn. This easy-to-follow full-color guide starts with the most basic features, moving into basic characters and emotions, and then on to basic character poses and interactions that are common to the most popular Manga styles.
9colorstudio, author of Drawing Manga, is an alliance of manga artists working in Asia and the United States. Its team is made up of: Lin Xiu Shan, who joined 9colorstudio as a full-time manga artist in 2012 and is currently working as a freelance illustrator in Asia and the United States. She has completed numerous commissions in the United States and has published several manga books since 2001. Agustinus Kwa Hong Yen, who joined 9colorstudio as a freelance manga artist in 2012, is currently working as a lead artist at GUMI Asia, and has been working as an illustrator for Iplayallday Studio for several games, including Lionside NBA Legend, Freshdeck Poker, and Kungfu Tower of Doom. Yuanita Zheng Meifang, who joined 9colorstudio as a full-time manga artist in 2012 and has been published in several manga books in Indonesia, in addition to working on several manga commissions since 2004.
