IMPERIAL SPACE by Christopher Tadgell

Chistopher Tadgell was born in Sydney and studied art history at the Courtauld Institute in London. He then taught architectural history for nearly thirty years before focusing solely on writing and research, traveling the world to inspect and photograph structures from every tradition and period. He is a World Monuments Fund Trustee, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquities, and a member of the British and American Societies of Architectural History. His one-volume History of Architecture in India is the canonical account, while his French architecture writings include the standard account in Baroque and Rococo Architecture and Decoration.
